UWSC Announces Kim Mack as Marketing Director

Kim Mack of Ames has been hired as the marketing director for United Way of Story County (UWSC). Mack, who has been UWSC’s administrative assistant for the past two years, began her new role March 28.

As marketing director, Mack coordinates and directs all marketing and communication activities, including managing the United Way brand. Key responsibilities include public relations and coordinating events, as well as overseeing the design and updating of the website and other electronic communication.

“With Kim’s background in public relations and marketing it was an easy decision to promote her to the marketing director position. She believes in the vision and mission of UWSC and will help us communicate our work throughout Story County,” said Jean Kresse, president and CEO of UWSC. “She is extremely talented and creative and we are grateful to have her continue on our team.”

Mack received her bachelor’s degree in communications with an emphasis in public relations and a minor in journalism from Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa.

UWSC is a strategic leader in building countywide partnerships to identify needs and to develop, support and evaluate effective human services, especially in the areas of education, income and health for our diverse community.
