Serving as the 2025 Campaign Chair has been a truly rewarding experience for me as a longtime donor and resident of Story County. I have seen firsthand how United Way of Story County supports individuals and families through the dedication of the team, the stories shared by those helped, and the strong community response. It reminded me why I chose to give and why I continue to believe in this work.
What stands out above everything is the community spirit I’ve witnessed all year. Every interaction—whether with donors, volunteers, or people receiving services—reinforced how much folks want their neighbors to thrive. And together, we’re making real progress toward that vision.
In fact, we recently crossed a major milestone—$2 million raised so far this campaign season! That is an incredible achievement, and it speaks volumes about the commitment of donors, companies, volunteers, and partners across the county. And we’re not done yet. We’re excited to announce the final campaign total in the coming weeks, and I can confidently say the momentum is still growing.
Even though the campaign season is beginning to wind down, it’s always a great time to get involved. If you haven’t had a chance to give yet, or if you’re looking for a way to reconnect with your community through volunteering, there is absolutely space for you. Every gift and every hour of service directly supports the stability, well-being, and opportunity of our neighbors. Your involvement, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference.
