Join the Movement: Day of Caring 2026

Friday, September 11, 2026

Get ready to roll up your sleeves and make a measurable difference. Day of Caring 2026 is arriving this September, and it’s going to be bigger, bolder, and more impactful than ever before.

Why Day of Caring Matters

Day of Caring is more than just a volunteer event; it is a celebration of compassion and collective action. By participating, you are helping us forge the meaningful connections and social momentum needed to reach our 2030 Community Impact goals.

Stay tuned for registration details and sponsorship opportunities coming soon!

Fuel the Mission: Campaign Kickoff Breakfast

We begin the day with a burst of energy and community spirit at Cornbred. Join neighbors, colleagues, and changemakers as we gather to fuel up and celebrate the launch of our campaign before heading out for a powerful day of service.

Action in the Community

Following breakfast, hundreds of volunteers will fan out across Story County to tackle hands-on projects that revitalize local nonprofits and enhance our shared community spaces. Whether you are painting, landscaping, or assembling essential resources, your contribution proves what is possible when we work together toward a common goal.

NEW FOR 2026: The Afternoon Experience

We are elevating the volunteer experience this year with a brand-new afternoon program at the ISU Alumni Center:

  • Community Lunch & Assembly: Join us for a catered lunch followed by high-energy "kit builds." Together, we will assemble hundreds of care packages filled with essential items for our neighbors in need.

  • Team Bonding: Celebrate your hard work with some friendly competition featuring classic yard games and networking.

  • Family Session (3:00 PM – 4:30 PM): For the first time, we are inviting families to join the fun! Bring the kids and show the next generation the power of giving back.

Partner with Purpose: 2026 Sponsorship Opportunities

This year, we are offering revitalized sponsorship opportunities that place your organization at the heart of Story County’s largest day of service. Sponsors are the primary engine behind Day of Caring, providing the critical resources necessary to mobilize hundreds of volunteers and complete large-scale projects that our local nonprofits rely on.

Your partnership is especially vital for our afternoon kit-building sessions. These sponsorship investments directly fund the purchase of essential items—ranging from hygiene products to educational supplies—that volunteers will pack and distribute to our neighbors in need. By becoming a sponsor, you aren't just putting your logo on an event; you are personally ensuring that hundreds of care kits reach the hands of those who need them most.

Why Sponsor Day of Caring?

  • Expanded Visibility: With our new family-inclusive hours and the central gathering at the Alumni Center, your brand will be front-and-center for a diverse audience of community leaders, corporate professionals, and local families.

  • Tangible Impact: See your investment in action as volunteers assemble the very items your sponsorship provided.

  • Community Leadership: Demonstrate your commitment to our 2030 goals by fostering the "collective well-being" and "financial empowerment" that define a thriving Story County.
