Nonprofit Workshop series offers ‘Fundamentals of Grant Development’

ISU Extension & Outreach has partnered with United Ways of Story and Marshall County to present a Nonprofit Management Workshop Series to enhance your nonprofit knowledge and skills. We invite nonprofit managers, employees, volunteers and board members to attend.

‘The Dating Game: Fundamentals of Grant Development’ will be held Thursday, June 18 at the Fisher Community Center, 709 South Center Street, Marshalltown.

No, Chuck Woolery won’t be hosting this session but many of his techniques in matchmaking could be useful in your search for the perfect match for funding. Do you currently want to write a grant or have you written one that was not funded? Knowing the systematic steps to formulating a grant application and how to build appropriate relationships with your potential funders is essential! Join our presenter, Sue McEntee as she outlines the seven most important strategies for writing and submitting proposals, introduces you to a resource that can make your search for funders exciting and less stressful and helps you better understand the “courtship” of potential funders.

Sue McEntee, BA, MPA has over 30 years of management and fundraising experience. Sue has worked in various capacities including Director of Food and Nutrition, Administrator for the Human Gene Therapy Institute and Director of Development in health care.
