Story County Coalition for Disaster Recovery is accepting financial donations
The Story County Coalition for Disaster Recovery are accepting financial donations through the Disaster Assistance Fund to help in disaster recovery. Only monetary contributions are being accepted at this time. Please send contributions to: United Way of Story County, 315 Clark Avenue Ames, IA 50010. United Way of Story County gives donation to the Colo Public Library
United Way of Story County (UWSC) donated $300 to the Colo Public Library for computer equipment.     Steve McGill, President/CEO of State Bank and Trust and UWSC Board 1st Vice-Chair presented a check of to Joanie Jamison, Library Director of the Colo Public Library to be used to upgrade computer equipment.     The Colo Public Library started a Computer Campaign Fundraiser to raise money for four new computer workstations

United Way of Story County welcomes new President and CEO and celebrates five years in current office location
On Wednesday, July 22, United Way of Story County (UWSC) held a ribbon cutting to welcome Jean Kresse as the new President and CEO of UWSC and celebrate 5 years in their current office location.         The ribbon cutting took place at the UWSC office located at 315 Clark Avenue in Ames . Jean Kresse, President and CEO, spoke briefly about the four community initiatives: financial education, hunger, mental health and transportation.
