Women with Initiative Luncheon 2016

Registration is closed for this event
Learn more about Women with Initiative and how you can support programs to help individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency.

The program will cover an update of the impact Women with Initiative (WwI) has on the lives of women in Story County. In addition, Lisa Cushatt will give an overview of the ACES research, identifying the dangers of toxic stress from “accumulated burdens of family economic hardship”. Those in attendance will hear the scientific differences found in people that have grown up with this toxic stress and how WwI can help participants succeed with managing their own finances. WwI has the opportunity to create change for the next generation by teaching participants with children the financial management tools that will lessen the toxic stress in their households today.
