The 2006 awards were presented at the Campaign Celebration on Monday, December 4 at The Gateway Hotel and Conference Center. They include:
Personal Awards
Hall of FameHall of Fame – recognizing annual campaign volunteer who has consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty in making the annual campaign successful.
Irene Beavers who has coordinated the very successful campaign with residents of Green Hills Retirement Community for six years.
Spirit Award
Spirit Award – recognizing staff, volunteer or Board member of a partner agency (agency directors are not eligible) who has had a positive impact on clients or the agency and has demonstrated dedication to the agency, clients, and community.
Betty Merrick who has served as a Foster Grandparent for years and has had an extremely positive interaction with students she’s worked with

President’s Leadership Award
President’s Leadership Award – presented by the United Way of Story County Board President to an individual who has demonstrated a history of great leadership and assistance in directing and shaping United Way.
Jan Putnam who has served on the UWSC Board of Directors for seven years and has been instrumental in developing the communications plan and effective annual campaign videos
