United Way of Story County Women with Initiative was established in 2008 with a single purpose: to align womens leadership and philanthropy with an urgent community priority helping women achieve self-sufficiency and confidence through financial education. How? By providing core financial educational opportunities to our community through United Way partners.
Identified participants learn about personal finance in a four-part workshop series. Topics like budgeting and savings strategies as well as understanding credit and loans are discussed. After the workshop, participants are paired with trained community mentors so they can take their new information and apply it to their everyday life.
