If you are interested in driving women in Ames or surrounding communities, we need you! Before transporting any participants, you will need to contact your insurance provider and confirm your coverage applies to this situation.United Way of Story County is unable to extend our coverage to volunteer drivers. We have found that most insurances policies apply, but if you have any problems or your insurance agent needs more information, please contact us.
Childcare Providers
We want to provide women with a safe place for their children to stay while they attend the financial training workshops. The childcare will take place on site, so we will have all of the supplies you need to have a fun evening with these little ones.We will adhere to the state's guidelines on ratios of providers to children, but it is not necessary for you to have state licensure to volunteer. For more information, please contact Angela at United Way of Story County.
