Standing Committees

Allocations Committee

The Allocations Committee recommends to the Board of Directors funding priorities, total amounts to be allocated to ASSET panels and special allocations to partner agencies and other nonprofits. The four UWSC ASSET representatives serve on this committee. The Chair and a majority of the members must be Board members.

Endowment Committee

The Endowment Committee works on implementing the planned giving program at United Way of Story County. Committee members also serve on subcommittees which are formed as needed.

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee consists of the Board of Directors President, 1st Vice-President, 2nd Vice-President, Treasurer, chairpersons of Standing Committees and Past President. The President of the Board of Directors is the Chair. The Executive Committee makes recommendations to the Board of Directors on United Way of Story County business and oversees business between meetings of the full Board.

Marketing Committee

The Marketing Committee is responsible for all information to the public concerning United Way of Story County. The Chair must be a board member.

Ad Hoc Committees

Golf Committee

The Golf Committee plans and implements the Golf Fore Kids outing.

Leadership Committee

The Leadership Committee identifies annual campaign leadership prospects and assists with contacting renewals and prospects.

Nominations Committee

The Nominations Committee is chaired by the 2nd Vice-President and includes the 1st Vice-President, the most recent available Past President, one to two additional Board members with at least one year remaining on their terms and one representative each from two partner agencies. It is responsible for recommending director and officer candidates.

Policy Committee

The Policy Committee reviews United Way of Story County policies and bylaws and recommends revisions to the Board of Directors.

Campaign Day of Caring Task Force

The Day of Caring Task Force plans and implements the Day of Caring.

Campaign Kick Off Task Force

The Campaign Kick-Off Task Force plans and implements the Campaign Kick-Off.
