September 12, 2014 - Team Up for United Way!

About 100 Young Leaders Society members and guests helped kick off the 2014 LIVE UNITED Campaign at a special event held at Jack Trice Club Level. The program featured a testimonial from a young woman about how her life was changed due to a program partially funded by United Way donors. Attendees also received lunch and got to watch the 2014 United Way video on the stadium's large video screen. 

September 5, 2014 - UWSC Day of Caring

YLS members helped at Lutheran Services in Iowa for the annual Day of Caring, held Friday, Sept. 5. This year's event brought together 860 volunteers from 40+ businesses and 18 Iowa State University departments to complete 65 projects. View a video compilation of photos from the day online. March 28, 2014 - Members Tour Primary Health Care, Inc.

Approximately 40 Young Leaders Society members came together to learn how United Way of Story County is impacting the health of our communities through a myriad of programs, including a new partnership with Primary Health Care, Inc. After the meeting, members toured their temporary site on Duff Ave. 


September 10, 2013 - YLS Kickoff Featuring Work in Early Literacy
YLS members and guests learned more about the Young Leaders Society at a special kickoff event. The event gave an overview of how YLS members help United Way of Story County accomplish its mission of improving lives and focused on how and why United Way of Story County funds early literacy programs.
